Bored of wearing jeans? Try Jumpsuits !

Some points to keep in mind while purchasing your Jumpsuit:

1. Purchase the Right Length: Taller women can get away with floor-length pieces, while more petite women should stick to rompers that go above the knee. Women who have shapely arms should go bare with halter top or sleeveless. Long- sleeved jumpsuits look elegant and classy and can also hide some less-than-perfect features.

2. Buy a Solid Color Jumpsuit: When in doubt, a solid jumpsuit looks great on any woman. The continuous silhouette created by the single colour lengthens the body and creates a flattering profile. Small prints, a few splashes of colour can also be acceptable if done in moderation.

3. Buy the Right Fit and Size
The right fit is essential when purchasing any piece of clothing and even more so when it comes to jumpsuits. All ill-fitting jumpsuit can highlight unsightly bulges  and imperfections and may cause some embarrassing situations. When in doubt, a good rule when fitting jumpsuits is to ensure the fabric remains loose and draped while cinching the waist.

4. Buy a jumpsuit for Formal Events
Hollywood & Bollywood celebrities wear jumpsuits on the red carpet. Silk or satin jumpsuits embellished with sequins can make a great nighttime outfit for anyone.

5. Wear Jumpsuits All Year Round
The jumpsuits is a versatile piece of clothing every woman should have and wear during any season. If anything, a basic jumpsuit is a great base that can be layered with a jacket or sweater during colder months.

Tips for Men on how to buy quality shoes:

How do you know what's quality?
High-quality shoes are all about construction and there are few basic things to look for:
#Your shoes should be made of real leather and have leather soles as well. (If you buy quality leather shoes, they can be refurbished a number of times and will last forever, which is ultimately going to be less expensive than having to replace crappy, poorly made shoes every few months.)
#The soles of well-made shoes will be stitched, not glued, to the bottom of the shoes.
#Also, the lining in better shoes is made of high-quality calfskin or natural leather, not synthetic materials.
#Finally, check the stitching. It should be neat and should be barely noticeable.

Essentials for a good personality

Making an Impression

Image & Body Language

How do you normally feel when someone you are speaking seems disengaged? Do you come across as a strong-willed person? Are you a bit shy or submissive? Did you know that 55% of our communication is achieved non verbally?
There is an old saying: "stand tall and the world stands with you; slouch and you slump alone", and nothing can be truer when communicating confidence and openness. Body language and Etiquette is one of the biggest factors in visual communication and image consultant advices clients on appropriate body language based on roles and occasions. Psychologists believe non-verbal communications reveals more than the words we speak. Posture affects how people perceive you. Just as someone with good posture sends nonverbal signals of energy, confidence and health, a person with poor body posture appears uninterested, uncertain or lethargic--- which is not the impression that any of us want to project to our bosses, customers and colleagues. Correct etiquette in business and social situations goes a long way to create a powerful image. An image consultant takes the client through appropriate etiquette, be it dining, corporate meetings or any other. It takes strategy and consideration to ensure your audience is receiving your message effectively and accurately.

A well trained Image Consultant takes not only your physical appearance but also your lifestyle and personality into consideration and does a 360 degree evaluation before guiding and recommending the right styles for you so that you project a positive image that is exclusive to you and in turn influence the impression that others form of you. Projecting an impression and authentic image is about wearing the appropriate styles and colors and carrying it with poise, attitude and confidence in order to create a communication necessary in terms of authority, stability, trustworthiness approachability etc.

We Create Personas

Light travels faster than sound. Ergo, when you meet someone for the first time, they have already seen you and partially formed an opinion about you, before you have spoken your first word.
One's sense of style, dressing, body language and speech leaves a lasting impression on an audience's mind, whether it be an individual or a group of people.
The classic quote, "Dress for success" essentially tries to embody the thought that once your mental and physical states create a persona of success, you will be successful. Successful people dress, walk and talk the part. They exclude a sense of confidence and belief in themselves, through visual and verbal cues which create a radiant persona that is soaked in success.
At Image Shoppe we are artists at creating that winning persona. We work towards syncing ones's self perceived image and externally projected image to create harmony. Our belief is that each person is a winner in his/ her own accord. They just have not bridged their inner and outer images. Our philosophy guides people into a journey of self actualisation and we hand-hold our partners into creating a persona of positivity and success which is aligned with their core belief system. This enables them to project a version of themselves which makes them successful on the personal and professional fronts.

The History Of Image Consulting

The image consulting industry first started in the late 1970's and the early 1980's. What was designed solely for politicians or celebrities has now evolved into something much more. In today's 21st century, image culture is very complex and questions are always arising about what to wear at the right time or how to depict confidence through body language. For those who have a hard time discerning appropriate attire for certain situations, or how to place a positive image through posture and gestures, they can seek advice through an "image consultant".
John Molly's book "Dress For Success" gained immense popularity and momentum throughout the world. At the same time women were also entering the corporate world and they felt that image mattered to a great extent and so they started investing money in their appearance. In 1990's, the high-tech companies introduced a trend in the dress code known as "business dress". Eventually it was seen that the "business dress" went from formal to casual. Thus, Image Consultant was essential to introduce dress codes and standards. Today, the demand for quality image consultants has risen to another level as new markets have emerged. The definition of image consulting has broadened beyond "makeovers" including behaviour, civility and etiquette, body language, interview skills, communication, presentation and personal branding as well.
